Abstract:  This dataset contains polygons and attributes which represent the twenty six Metro Council districts within Jefferson County, KY. The data was generated following the release of the 2010 Census data and was finalized in 2013 after a court ordered redistricting revision. During the redistricting process a number of precinct boundaries were redrawn. Precinct boundaries are the fundamental building blocks of all political layers in Jefferson County, KY.

Purpose: Louisville Metro Council districts inside Jefferson County boundaries are based off 2013 redistricting precincts and aligned to the county boundary. This dataset contains polygons and attributes which represent the Metro Council districts within Jefferson County, Kentucky. These boundaries represent areas used during the voting and election administration process. Polygon coverage delineating council districts prior to the redistricting of November 30, 2021.
